My Journey
I received my first camera as a Christmas present when I was 10. A little 110 film camera. It was a basic point and shoot. But I loved that camera. And living on 200 acres of land, covered predominantly in forest, was the perfect training ground for my artistic eye. I photographed flowers, trees, rivers, rocks; and really anything that captured my interest. I submitted my photos to 4H competitions, and won a lot of ribbons.
As I got older, I lost interest in photography for a few years. I pursued a music career, and worked 50 or 60 hours per week to survive. But when I began having children, and found myself thinking about documenting their childhood artistically, my passion for creating photographic art was once again rekindled.
Today, I work professionally as a real estate photographer. I shoot weddings and portraiture on the side. But what still excites me most is going out into nature, whenever time allows, and photographing its wondrous beauty. I certainly hope you enjoy my work!
